Surroundings matter. Alot. Intentional design is purposely aligning with YOUR project vision, doesn't matter the size - with your timeline, budget, and function required. Every decision is deliberate—prioritizing durability, cleanability, performance, and appropriateness of use.
Material and finish selections are driven by performance and longevity, not only trends—ensuring lasting value and suitability for each environment. Thoughtful design supports a sense of stability, connection, and well-being for residents, while providing reassurance to families. The outcome is an environment that clearly reflects your organization’s values and standard of care.
In Senior Living communities, furniture isn’t just décor—it’s part of the infrastructure.
Over a 10-year span, the real ROI of furniture becomes clear: durability, maintenance, and replacement cycles all add up. Intentional choices are built to last.
Furniture can shape the daily experience for residents and staff, impacts infection control, and drives operational costs over time.
WE CAN HELP with concept design and furnishings (including specialty and custom products of all kinds) when you are ready to add or re-fresh

Dining chairs should withstand significant daily use and must be thoughtfully selected to support residents’ needs. Consider: Do you need lower or recessed arms, a hand grip, casters, what is the frame made of, do you need stacking, a visible clean out, is recovering the seat later on important to you?

Sofas and Loveseats are popular for Common Areas. Cleanability and durability are #1 priority

Specialty seating is typically procured in smaller quantities. Bariatric options can be coordinated with standard dining chairs, theatre seating designed for ease of use and motion seating that is safe and reliable.

Lounge seating is important and used everywhere - to socialize, to people watch or take a quick break. Fabrics & cushions must be able to withstand constant use and cleaning

Tables and longevity go hand in hand - custom options can be surprisingly affordable - wheelchair height, top options, edge options and different legs are available

Outdoor furniture options are available across all price points, including seating, cushions, tables, umbrellas, fire tables, planters, and storage.
The design tone of a space sets the entire resident & guest experience. From the first impression at the entrance, to the ambiance of a dining room or suite, every design decision contributes to how welcome, relaxed, and remembered a resident feels. When furniture looks worn, mismatched, or institutional, it sends the wrong message — especially in an era when families expect more from senior living. Worn-out furnishings don’t just reflect wear—they reflect on your brand.
Great interiors engage and tell a story of home that invite us to be part of it.

I cannot for the life of me recall where I first heard this, but I still truly believe it!
Our home environment has a huge impact on allowing us to BE ourselves, and our identity to others.
19 years of my career included managing FF&E for Memory Care environments – I was involved as Lead Design; managing, creating & always learning: completing new builds for Senior Living and Memory Care with some amazing amenities, as well as re-freshing existing households and completing new purpose-built Residences focusing on person centered care.
At the start of my career, my 93 yr old Grandmother moved in with me battling Parkinsons/Lewy Body. She was a wonderful ‘test pilot’ for me as I researched fabrics and furniture for appropriate colors and patterns, durability, familiarity and mobility issues
It's easy to be enthusiastic about how Seniors and Memory Care residents interact with their surroundings and how they respond to colors, lighting, acoustics and even using artwork with intention.
I was highly fortunate to be able to go back to the finished projects and see through evidential design how residents interact within the space, get feedback directly from staff and meet family members. There's always a valuable new take away for the next household.
Happy to hear from you !
